Edo Piantadosi graduates in Architecture at IUAV Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (University Institute of Architecture of Venice) in 1981. Since then he has been working as an architect in Tarvisio (Udine - Italy), also involved in restoration and landscape architecture. He works mainly in the field of architectural planning as well as of restoration and renovation of buildings of historical-architectural value. He is, furthermore, specialized in the construction of buildings made of wood and designed according to bio-climatic technologies. Since 1999 he has worked as a specialized consultant for the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia as well as for a number of Public Administrations both in Italy and abroad within the field of European programmes concerning recovery, adaptation and upgrading of the heritage of typical rural villages.
He has drawn up a methodology for the use of Public Administrations aimed at maximizing the effectiveness in the implementation of policies for the safeguard of architectural-historical heritage.
One of his accomplishments is the Hotel Lodgings Network System of Rutte – Tarvisio, one of the most interesting good practices developed in the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia as a model of socio-economic management of the rural and mountain territories in general.
